from the artist

I retired from Tulane University's Freeman School of Business in 2016, spending 26 years in executive education, program management, marketing, recruiting, and dabbling in website design, graphic design, and copywriting, as opportunities presented.
I was interested in art from an early age, and took courses and workshops intermittently from the University of New Orleans and Tulane University, including art history, graphic design, drawing, painting, and illustration.
I only began to consistently study drawing and painting after I retired, under .
prominent area artists: Gretchen Armbruster, Alan Flattmann, Larry Casso, Lyn Taylor, Ryan Perea, Kathy Benesbat, Carol Ordoyne, Peggy Bergeron, Ken Call, and Paul Jackson.

I love to paint in watercolors and oils, though favorite medium is watercolor. I have taught several watercolor classes at St. Tammany Art Association and have completed several commissioned portraits. My paintings have been displayed at Armbruster Art Gallery, at Lacombe Art Guild’s shows, and St. Tammany Art Association Art House.

I am a member of the Lacombe Art Guild, the St. Tammany Art Association (STAA), Louisiana Watercolor Society, and St. Tammany Master Gardener Association. I earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and an MBA from Tulane University. I regularly provide pro bono graphic design, website, and professional services to nonprofit organizations.
I am a native of New Orleans and have resided in Mandeville with my husband since 2002.
